The 1960 Kontakt Instrument is a dynamic, buildable drum kit featuring customizable drum sounds recorded and mixed through analog gear in an attempt to capture that sixties studio magic.

The 1960 Kontakt instrument puts creativity in your hands, and right in your DAW. Featuring 31 vintage sixties drum sounds and 21 factory presets, 1960 will bring some of that old school magic to your tracks with a modern twist of functionality.

Looking for even more control over your sounds? Each 1960 sound comes with 4 character modes (Big, Close, Natural, and Room), plus 6 round robins and 5 velocity layers. Tune your drums, choose from 3 reamping models, and adjust the EQ of the amp for a sound that's truly yours, all within the intuitive, built-in mixing interface and amplifier EQ controls.

We included 4 character modes so you can decide your vibe:

BIG: Recorded and mixed to sound huge. Punchy and a little bit of our own reverb added to the blend. 

CLOSE: Looking for a tighter sound? This is a blend of all of the close mics we used during recording and mixing. Perfect for processing further on your end.

NATURAL: Natural beauties. An evenly balanced blend of close mics, overheads, and room mics to make it sound like your sitting in front of the kit or near it. 

ROOM: Raw, spacey, and slightly unhinged. These sounds make you feel like you're in the garage with the drums. Recorded and mixed using room mics and limiter compression. Pro Tip: Go really crazy and reamp these sounds!
